1. Today 23rd July -- Excessive low fying military activity across Upper Clatford.  MoD air control Salisbury confirmed that for the next 2 weeks there are pre Afghan battalion battle scenario's running on Salisbury Plain, as a result they will try to coordinate with Odiham and Middle Wallop to re-route air traffic north of Upper Clatford

2. Sadly, David Kennedy, Upper Clatford Parish Chairman from 1960 to 2001 passed away after a long illness.  Our thoughts and prays are with Sylvia & family at this time.  The service was held at All Saints Church Upper Clatford on Wednesday 16th.

 "We have been trying to cover all aspects of this lengthy saga, including actually breaking the story in February 2007, as evenly as possible, although in truth the STOP campaign has achieved almost double the amount of coverage than the developers and various authorities put together. This is mainly due to the campaigners being more active and creating more news items. However, the Andover Advertiser is totally impartial in this matter and will continue to cover all aspects as fully as possible until it is finally resolved. I trust this will answer some of the parish council's concerns, which I am sure are shared by a number of others within our community."  Joe Scicluna Editor

Bank Holiday , Monday August 25 - GOODWORTH CLATFORD FLOWER SHOW AND VILLAGE FETE.  A traditional afternoon of fun and games for all the family from 1.00 to 4.30pm.  By the river in the grounds of the Village Club.  Entrance £1 for adults, under 16s free.
