Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) for equines and other animals is a very subtle, gentle, non invasive holistic therapy for your horse.
How does it work? The cranial sacral system of your horse is made up of the cranium (bones of the skull), the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord and the sacrum (at base of spine).
There are various rhythms and pulses within your horses body that influence their physical and psychological health. Rhythm irregularities can indicate a health problem (e.g. abnormal breathing can mean respiratory problems; an abnormal pulse can mean cardiovascular problems).
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) practitioners work with the rhythm and pulse of the cranial sacral system by very gently moving the bones of the cranium and the sacrum to remove any tension or torques. Using their hands to regulate this pulse and release restrictions improves the function of the central nervous system, helping facilitate your horses natural ability to heal themselves. last update 10th February 2010 |
